Good. Don't Let AI Touch Your Ad Spend.
The question isn't whether AI should work in your business. It's whether it runs on rules or on guesses, and where the line sits between what it does and what only you decide.
By Aaron Ball

Most owners hear "AI agent" and picture something loose in their ad account at 2am, spending money on a hunch.
Good instinct. Keep it.
The reality is that the question isn't whether AI should work in your business. It's whether it runs on rules or on guesses, and where the line sits between what it does and what only you decide. Get that right and you get the speed without the risk. Get it wrong and one bad night costs you a month.
Why the fear is rational
Buyers don't pick the option with the best upside. They pick the one that feels like the safest decision. I call this Proximity to Certainty, and it applies to you as much as it does to your customers. When you hand work to anyone (a freelancer, an agency, software), you're really asking two questions: what's the worst that can happen, and can I undo it?
For most work, the worst case is small. A draft that's off. A page that needs another pass. You fix it. For a few things, the worst case is real money or a real relationship: spend you can't pull back, an email that hits your whole list, a campaign that texts thousands of people.
Those few things deserve a different rule. And it has to be a rule, not a hope.
Rules, not guesses

Here's the part most people miss about AI in a business. The danger isn't that the AI is smart. It's when what it's allowed to do is left to its own judgment in the moment.
Operator Mode doesn't work that way. It runs on fixed rules:
- What it can do is defined. Your Operator agent acts through specific, named actions: build this page, change that automation, draft these emails, set up this campaign. It doesn't improvise a new action you never asked for, and it doesn't wander off into parts of your business you didn't point it at.
- The rules aren't its call. Which actions run on their own and which wait for you is set by the system, and by you. The agent can't talk its way past a rule, skip one because it's in a hurry, or decide that this time is different.
- Once you say what you want, it does that. Same request, same rules, same outcome. You don't have to babysit it or wonder what it decided while you were asleep.
That's what lets it take real actions in your business, not just write suggestions. It changes the automation. It updates the page. It sets up the campaign. It does the work, inside the lines.
Draw the line at what can't be undone

Your Operator agent does the work. It builds the ads, writes the copy, sets up the audiences, drafts the emails, builds the pages and the automations and reports what's working.
Anything close to the money takes extra precautions, by design and whatever your settings:
- Starting ad spend. Ads your agent builds are always created paused. Ask it to turn them on and it brings the decision to you: an approval card with exactly what will run and what it will spend. You press it.
- Emailing your whole list.
- Turning on an automation.
- Launching a text campaign, buying a phone number, publishing a voice assistant or placing calls to a list.
- Recording a payment on a customer always asks you first.
Everything else is your call. Want to review every change before it happens? Turn on "Ask before making changes" and your agent asks first. Once you've given it permission for a kind of work, it does that work on its own, the same way every time. Want it to move faster on the low-risk work? Leave approvals off, and it does the work and shows you what it did.
Why this makes you faster, not slower
It sounds like a brake. It works like an accelerator.
When you trust the rules, you stop hovering. You can tell your agent "build three ad variations for the new offer" at 9pm and go to bed, because nothing spends a dollar until you approve it in the morning. The work happens while you sleep. The decision waits for you.
The businesses that get the most out of AI aren't the ones that hand over the keys. They're the ones that know exactly which keys they kept, and run on a system that respects that every time.

This is what Operator Mode was built to run
Plug your business in, and one machine handles your operations, acquires new customers and brings in new revenue, run by an Operator agent that knows your business. More than 25 jobs, handled by one very powerful machine dedicated to helping you strategically grow, scale and operate your online business.
- Strategy is built in. It's built on the direct marketing and business systems behind 1,000+ campaigns and more than $200 million in verifiable results for online businesses.
- Your Operator agent takes real action. Facebook and Instagram ads it builds, you switch on, and both of you tune from live results. Pages, emails, texts, automations and follow-up, built and changed when you direct it.
- It runs on rules. Defined actions, fixed limits, and extra precautions on everything near the money.
- The numbers show what's working. Every sale traced back to the campaign, ad set and ad that brought the buyer in.
You stay the Operator. You decide what matters, what goes live and what gets spent. The machine does the rest, by the rules.
"What if I want to keep my own tools?"
Keep them. Operator Mode connects to the CRM, payment processor, webinar platform, calendar and community you already use, and sends your leads and their details straight into them.
If you want the speed without the risk
Operator Mode is invite-only, and we bring on a small number of businesses at a time.
The application takes about two minutes. Tell us what you sell and where you spend. On the call, we'll show you exactly where the line sits for your business.
P.S. Write down the three things in your business you'd never let anyone do without asking. Bring that list to the call. It's usually exactly where the line should go.
